Tulips and Birthday Parties

The Taylors have lived in Bellingham for coming on 15 years and neither Rich nor I had ever been to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Last month I decided to take the boys on a Friday afternoon after Quinn got out of school. Here are some pictures from our afternoon adventure. Next year we'll go when Rich isn't working :).

Late April/Early May is birthday season up here. First came Quinn's friend Noah's birthday party, then Quinn's, then his friend Ben's. All within a week!

Noah's aMAZEing party...

Quinn's party at Jump Around Fun Zone- unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of the kids actually jumping...note the boys swarmed around the diggers in the last picture. They were in awe.

Quinn was zonked at the end of the weekend.

Oh man, it's been a while! Sorry for the dearth of pictures. All is well on our end; nothing new to report. Here is a random assortment from the last month.

Nolan was ready to go for a stroll in his birthday jacket from Grammee and Grandal. We get so many compliments on his lobster coat!

On laid back school days, one of Quinn's teachers sometimes paints the kids' faces during playtime. A few Fridays ago, all of the boys were either Batman or Spiderman, except Quinn, mister robot. Mr. Easter Robot, to be exact.

My mom painted our dining and family rooms when she was here in March. We love the new dining room color but the family room left a lot to be desired. This was the third blue, too! I decided we couldn't live with it until her next trip so I took a week to repaint it. It's blue again, but a much calmer, lighter shade. We love it! Especially compared to the painters tape blue it was for a week!

Quinn had fun doing Easter eggs with Rich. Nolan wanted to help too!

Skiing Adventures

We took Quinn skiing for the first time on New Years Eve and unfortunately didn't get many pictures. Bummer because in the madness of leaving the house we forgot his jacket so he wore Rich's down jacket with the sleeves rolled up. It was so funny! Here are a few of the pictures we did get from that day. As you can see, it's all about the hot cocoa for Quinn.

Rich took videos on our last skiing adventure; I'll try to figure out how to post some of them. This is one of him talking to Grandma after we got home.

Quinn decided to help me organize the dresser in their room while I was in the shower last week.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Nolan turned one today! My, how time has flown by. Both Quinn and Nolan were excited to have a birthday party, though I think Quinn was the more excited of the two.

We attempted to take a family photo. Here are some of the results....
For old times sake, here are a few pictures of Nolan a year ago!

Burlington Childrens Museum

Here are some photos from a trip to the Burlington Childrens Museum in mid-January. It's like a mini-Portland museum and what we all expected when they built a new museum in Bellingham. Sadly, this isn't what we got so we have to drive down to Burlington for the full hands-on experience. It's in the mall but you would never know it once you're inside the museum. The kids love it!

All of the 3 1/2 year olds liked the baby area, too.

Forts

Back in December, Rich made Quinn a fort using boxes from our new dining and entry lights. We were about to dismantle and recycle the fort when Nolan discovered it. Rich captured his first foray into it.

The boys love to pull pots out of the kitchen cabinets and play hide and seek.
