Chillin' with the homies

The other day Quinn and I met up with the Oliver / Todd duo to watch
some RC car races. The kids were much more interested in throwing
rocks into a puddle than they were in the car races. It was all good
until we lost the sunshine and it dropped about 15 degrees in 10
minutes. Brrr

Peek a boo!

Jack at it again

With Ang and Quinn out of town, Jack is getting some extra love. Daily
trips to the park and a fresh chew toy. No more than 5 minutes after I
had finished vacuuming he had torn apart his new "indestructable" dog
toy.

Pumpkin Patch

On Friday we went to Stoney Ridge Farm in Everson with a group of friends. Quinn, Oliver, Laoise, Ben, Haven and Alora had a great time! They got to wander through a bin maze, feed animals, go on a wagon ride, pick pumpkins and apples. The best part was the hot dog and cider donut lunch!

Camping!

Rich and I decided to celebrate our five year anniversary with a family camping trip (minus Jack) to the Olympic Peninsula. Because we haven't camped with Quinn yet and Jack usually sleeps in the tent with us, we decided our first few trips would be Poudini-free until QT was comfortable. We planned to camp in the coast but didn't realize we needed a reservation for the ferry to Port Townsend. So we ended up pitching our tent in the Deception Pass campground. What an awesome place! We were worried about spending the night in a tent with Quinn after hearing horror stories from our friends but he was a rock star. It took camping for him to sleep until 8am! Unfortunately, that meant we missed our ferry reservation. Luckily we made it on standby later in the morning.

The Olympic Peninsula was beautiful as well. For living in WA for so long, neither of us has spent much (if any) time over there. We planned to stay at the Lake Quinault Lodge but didn't look at a map. It was another 4 hour drive from the ferry so we called a sister lodge closer to the east side and were able to switch our reservation. We stayed at the Sol Duc Hot Springs. It was gorgous up there but I'd skip the springs and resort. The Lake Crescent Lodge just below Sol Duc seemed much cooler. That's where we rented a row boat for some time on the lake. We'll definately be back to Lake Crescent. Maybe for a camping trip next year (with Jack). Ha, and baby, so maybe not with Jack unless we can convince him to sleep outside or we get a much larger tent.

Speaking of baby, we're almost half way through the pregnancy! It has gone by so fast. Next week is our 20-week ultrasound. No, we're not finding out the baby's gender. And no, you can't convince us otherwise :). The baby is kicking a lot, so much that Rich can feel it now. I can't wait for Quinn to be able to feel his baby brother or sister moving around. He'll be so excited!
